We remain in very close contact with Domenic. He has been able to hear from Gerrod, his son who is running the school in Tanzania, on a regular bases. The report today is that the army has taken over in Tanzania and is now going from village to village looking for foreigners. They feel that foreigners are responsible for the rioting. If found they are arrested and the women are brutally raped.
We still had ten girls, from Kenya, in the Bible School and Rescue Center. Harry had left some money hidden in our house when we left. So Gerrod was able to hire a driver, we could trust, that came in the middle of the night and has taken the girls back to Kenya. THEY ARE SAFE!!! One of the girls was a graduate, when she had gone home her father was accepting cows for her marriage to an old man, so her mother sent her back to us.
All the girls have been sent back to their homes until January. For many this in not a good situation. We will open the school for them in Ol’Gulululie as soom as we can. God is always on time, He is never late. He knew we would need this building up and running now. We thank Him for meeting all the needs of these precious girls.
The Sunday before we had fled Tz Domenic had called all the Maasai girls to join the choir and they did their beautiful Maasai dance. God was imbedding their faces in our minds before we left. Now it seems as if He was commissioning them that day. If you have “What’s App” we can send you the video of them dancing.
This now puts an urgent demand on finishing the girls dorm in Ol’Gulului. The remaing work on the building is paid for and is near completion. We had already deceided to put in a temporary wall in the dormatary, making half of it a sleeping dorm and the othr half a work room. The building is large and they will still have plenty of room. We were only going to start with twelve girls to begin with, now we will probably have more.
What we need to open the dorm are staff and food for the girls. Beds, tables, chairs, and sewing machines for them. Funds to install solar power, a toilet/shower block and a kitchen. We can dig a temporary pit-latrine and make a temporarty kitchen but it has been raining hard up there, so work will be slow for digging. We apologize for the lack of pictures. It seems “the cloud” has eaten all our pictures. Now I no longer have even one picture of the girls.
Trusting God to completel all He has started…
Harry & Kathy
