She was made a wife

A sad story for this child.  You have to read the picture and then you understand.  First she isn’t dressed like any of the other children; second the look on her face.  When you look at any other child they are happy, even if they are hungry and don’t have decent clothes.  The reality is she is probably the tenth wife of a very old man as we weren’t able to rescue her.

To save little girls

In 2015 a Rescue Center was opened to save little girls aged eight to eighteen from female circumcision and from becoming the tenth wife of a sixty-five year old man.  Twelve girls live in a safe place where they are cared for, educated and taught life skills in sewing and knitting.
