Namanga Revival…

Namanga Revival…

Every year in April Domenic takes the students to hold a Revival, where they put into practice all they have been learning.  This year he planned meetings in Namonga, a town that runs over the Kenya/Tanzania border.

So far all the border crossings, we have made in Africa, have a port of departure in the  country you are leaving.  To exit the country you go into Passport Control and get your Pasport  stamped.  Then you walk about half a mile and enter the next country’s  “Point of Entry,” where your car or bus has already moved on to. They either look at all your bags on the top of a bus or you unload your vehicle and put all of your luggage thru exray machines.  They then hold your bags while you walk thru their building and get a visa for the country you are entering.  If you don’t already have a visa you go into an office where they quiz you about where you have been and why you want to enter their country.  When you get the proper documentation, in your passport, you are then  able to move on to getting your vehicle cleared to enter the country.

The land between these two borders is called “No Man’s Land.”  Citizens from both Kenya and Tanzania freely pass back and forth, through this area.   Namanga is a border town that is actually split in two and is in both countries.

Domenic choose a large field in this area to hold the Revival this year.  A majority of Namanga’s residents are businessmen.  This is why we have an evening school in Namonga, Kenya. There aren’t so many attending the meetings during the day but hundreds show up at night after work.

Three-hundred gave their hearts to the Lord this year.  The healings and deliverances were too many to count.  Cards are given to those who have respond to the Gospel to fill out.  These cards are then given to local pastors to follow up on and mentor.

These Revivals are life changing for our student also.  They have seen the power of God work thru them, not just pastors.  Any of you who have ever attended a revival know how refreshed you are when it is over.  Many of those from the Revivals become students in the Bible School.

We don’t limit our field of influence only to those deep in the village; it is important to reach all levels of the population, proclaiming to those who have ears to hear the gospel.  once they have been redeemed by the Lord, we train them up and send them back into their sphere of influence.  Nothing speaks more to the lost than the Testimony of those they know and seeing how  their lives have changed.

Seeking to take the Gospel into all spheres of life,  meeting those who are lost in the darkness of sin,  where they are, and proclaiming the saving grace of our Lord Jesus to them!
