July Update

Domenic reports that the Elephant Fence is working well.  Once they encounter the fence they don’t come back.

Now that the compound in Ol’Gulului is secure a garden has quickly grown up.  It provides enough food for all who live there.  Esther reports that now they no longer need to buy any food.  Maybe now they can have a milk cow too.

Plans can now move forward in buildng a Rescue Center in Kenya.  Currently 40% of the girls in M’Takooja are from Kenya.  By building a center in Kenya we eliminate the need for a large faculity in Tanzania.  The cost is minuminal compared to building a large faculity there.

Graduation in Tanzaniza is September 6th with fifty graduating from the Bible School and thirty-four from the Rescue Center.  We have already raised enough money for sixteen sewing machines, but still need to buy eithteen more.  They are $130 each this year.

The last picture is of Domenic with Loveness, one of our early graduates from the Rescue Center.  She has a sewing shop in Arusha.  Along with learning to sew, the girls are taught how to be sucesssful business women.  Many women just wheel their sewing machine out onto the side walk and set up their business where ever they are.

Graduation in Kenya is September 20th.  One hundred students, from the Satelite Schools, will gather for a mass graduation in Ol’Gulului.  Graduations deep in the villages are an a sight to behold.

Our tickets to return to Africa are for August 19th.  We are so excited to return and be a part of these joyful celebrations.  We will see one-hundred eighty-four launched into the destiny the Lord has for them.

Each of you have been a part of changing the destiny of two nations in Africa.  May God richly Bless you too!!!

Thank you Lord for letting us be a part of what you are doing among the Maasai,

Harry and Kathy
