Walking with the Wounded
In the communities where we serve across East Africa, many women face profound suffering: domestic violence, abandonment, and deep poverty. These women often have nowhere to turn and no voice to speak.
The Rescued & Redeemed ministry exists to change that. We offer a safe community, practical support, and the transforming love of Jesus Christ to single mothers and women who have survived abuse. No woman is beyond God’s reach, and no one should face her pain alone.
Practical Care & Lasting Transformation
We meet women where they are, spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
- Safe Community:Regular gatherings where women can share, pray, and grow together in a place free from fear.
- Biblical Counselling:Trained leaders walk alongside women through trauma with Gospel-centred care and prayer.
- Skills Training:Practical workshops in sewing, business, and self-sufficiency to help women provide for their families.
- Material Support:Food, clothing, and essential supplies for the most vulnerable single mothers and their children.
- Spiritual Discipleship:Women are grounded in Scripture, discovering their identity and worth in Christ.
She Was Made a Wife
A sad story for this child. You have to read the picture, and then you understand. First, she isn’t dressed like any of the other children; second, the look on her face. When you look at any other child, they are happy, even if they are hungry and don’t have decent clothes. The reality is, she is probably the tenth wife of a very old man, as we weren’t able to rescue her.
This is why the Rescue Center exists. In 2015, we opened a safe home for little girls aged eight to eighteen, to save them from female circumcision and from becoming the tenth wife of a sixty-five-year-old man. They are cared for, educated, and taught life skills in sewing, knitting, and jewellery making. In 2020, ten girls graduated from our Bible School. They are now pastors and businesswomen.
