Kishapuy English Medium School began in 2010 under a tree, with thirty children writing in the dirt. By 2017 it had grown to 300 students, because every child deserves a future.
A School Born Under a Tree
In 2010, thirty children gathered under a tree with no desks, no textbooks, and no building: only chalk, dirt, and a belief that education could change everything. That gathering became Kishapuy English Medium School, serving children ages 3–14 in northern Tanzania.
In January 2016, the school was officially registered with the government of Tanzania. In November of that year, the government administered the first national tests for the fourth graders. The results: #1 in the District, #2 in the Region, and #7 in the Nation. By 2017, the school had grown to 300 students, with 25 to 30 seventh graders graduating every year and 30 new little ones beginning in the preschool. The government in Tanzania has now registered the school as Calvary Mission Tanzania Vocational Training Center.

- Expansion into Kenya: The ministry has grown beyond Tanzania, establishing satellite schools in remote regions of Kenya. In 2025, the Kenya satellite school held its 3rd graduation.
From the Dirt to the Top
In November 2018, the Tanzanian government administered national examinations across the country. Among 5,785 registered schools, Kishapuy English Medium School ranked #1 in the District, #1 in the Region, and #2 in the Nation. The children who sat those exams were the children of a community that had been writing in the dirt eight years before. The school is now officially registered as Calvary Mission Tanzania Vocational Training Center.
